My Thoughts:

Collin Hellock has a lot to be thankful for and a lot to be sorry about. Harlow knows what she wants but not sure how to go after it. This may have a holiday theme but I think you can read it at any time of year. It’s got the action you expect from an MC and then it’s got the sweet that you expect around this time of year. But you’ll also get the heat once our main characters are finally in the same space at the same time.

It was interesting to watch how the author developed her story. Scenes flowed easily from one to the next. Nothing felt rushed or as if something was shortened for the sake of length. You can read this even if you’ve not read any of the other books in the series. It may even be an incentive to check out the other books. At the very least, you may want to check out the book that began it all - Unacceptable.

My Thoughts:

Cason Bennett is really down in the dumps.  Stormi Talkington isn’t afraid of taking chances.  This story would be a good read for those that love romance and for those that love sports romance.  With hockey season is in full swing so for those that don’t like to watch the game why not read about men who belong to a team.

I found that this book is just a teaser for the rest of the Shots On Goal series.  There are jumps in time that surprised me and left me wondering, “what did I miss?”  Then I find out why the author did what she did – besides keeping it a novella.  She did it so that I would get hooked and want to know more about the New York Otters Hockey team.  Ms. Mazzola accomplished that.  Even though there are holes in the story, I wanted to see what she created for this group of men.  I would also be interested to see if Cason and Stormi appear anywhere else.   Then we have the fact that there are 10 other books in this collection.  I’m interested to see what the other authors have created in order to fit under the acronym DILF.
