Dhaval just wants to forget what’s happened in the past. Catina has self-esteem issues. The author has given them some interesting nicknames that I will let you discover – I thought them cute and what a great motivator to see if they live up to them.
This book has some good things going for it. It’s part of a great series – although I don’t know that I would call Dhaval cocky. He seems more self-assured. He’s also a little complicated. Catina is a woman who just needs the right person for her to see that she’s fine just the way she is. She has a great friend but she just needs something that the friend can’t give her.
Our author had me hooked right from the moment that I read her dedication. If you’ve not been following the Cocky Hero Club inspiration series this might be the perfect place to start. She shows that you can read a book that builds a lot of anticipation before taking the next step in a relationship. Ms. Black made the story seem plausible by having two people that are so far apart that being called a couple almost seemed impossible. But every scene made sense and that anything fictional can seem real.
The only thing I hated was that the story had to come to an end. But getting an audiobook copy will make my experience that much better. She did create a secondary character that works with Dhaval that I was left wondering if I will see him again. And that may be a good incentive to keep a watch out for any new books coming out.
