My Thoughts:

This story is told in parts which is good for the reader.  Makes it easier in finding the perfect place to stop. 

 

In Part I, Lila meets someone that may become very important in her life.  Jude shows how boys seem to get around girls when their not old enough to let their heart get involved.  Time passes and promises are made.  That alone will push the reader to get ready for the next part because you’ll need to know if they are kept. 

 

In Part II, time has jumped ahead.  This section shows that not everyone comes home happy after a tour of duty.  Plus, it can also have an affect on loved ones.  Emotions can run high.  Sad thing about the chapters here is that there is a lot of heartache and pain.  For some, tissues may be a must. 

 

In Part III, we again move ahead in time.  Lila leads us into a part of the book where we have to learn to forgive those that can hurt us the most.  Can anyone really get a second chance when they’ve ruined the first?  Can love conquer all?  Will this connect to book two of the series?  Only time will tell.
