Synopsis:
The box has opened a door to the dark place where the voice Corbin hears dwells. Not only that, but she’s brought it forth in human form, into her world, into the light. But others have been alerted to her existence, and Six is only the beginning of the imaginary becoming real. Torn between her love for Six and wanting a normal life, Corbin must decide if she should live in the light or hide in the dark.

Corbin Greene’s story continues in this great follow up to The Crow Box. Corbin thinks she’s finally snapped. Six is still somehow connected to her. In this story, we get to know more about who
Six is.
This is a story where your imagination can fly. The author’s creativity guides us on our
trip. But if it’s been a while since you
read The Crow Box, I would suggest
getting reacquainted with these characters.
This is one of those instances that you need to read the books in order.
The author confirms how hard it is to believe in what we don’t
understand. Our minds find it hard to
make sense out of things that are different in our world. The box that Corbin loves so much is almost a
main character because it plays such an important part.
It may be just me but I felt as if the author created it as a
metaphor. As we grow up, we put away all
our childhood beliefs into a “box”. As
we get older, what would happen if one of those “beliefs” escaped from the box
to live again? Our imagination is an
important part of who we are and we have to try to remember to let it come out
every once-in-a-while. These imaginary
beings show themselves to us because of their love for us. Out of everyone they picked us. We also need to know when to put them away. The author also has you thinking about
reincarnation.
I fell more in love with Six in this story. You will have to keep reading if you want to
see what Six is trying to accomplish with Corbin. The good news is that the book is written in
parts so you’ll have a good point in which to stop if you can’t read the book
all at once. Our couple also takes their
relationship to the next level. For me
the ending was sad for the both of them but it also made me eager to read the
next thing our author has in store for her readers – especially if it’s for
this series.

The small wooden box is dirty, the size of a human fist, and sealed with wax. When Corbin takes it upon herself to clean it and break the seal, a voice she has tried to ignore gathers strength. Shadows play on the walls at night, and with a family history of mental illness, Corbin fears the worst. But the voice tells her it is real. That its name is Six and it will prove it in time.
