Clichéd sentiments of love are not my thing. Instead, I give into raw temptation and thrive on the physical aspects of what men have to offer. Unemotional, carnal connections are what I live for, and they seem to keep me in a blissfully naïve state.
I’ve gone years with a different man in a different bed each night, but one glance from a ruminating stranger as he lifts my panties to his nose narrows my attraction from multiple men to only one.
I’m not entirely sure how to process the thoughts and passions battling in my mind until he gives me no other choice…until I’m thrust into an unstable emotional high that I cannot seem to resist.
His objective is to break me in and savor me as if I’m his favorite bottle of single malt whiskey.
I’m well aware of my sensual dependencies. He’s unaware that his still exist.

My Thoughts:
Hadley Rye had a very tough childhood.
Her social graces seem to be a little skewed which probably goes back to
when she was younger. Waylon “Wade”
Brass seems to be a hard man that thinks of women as a vessel. It’s interesting to watch him change after he
meets Hadley.
This was a story that I wasn’t too sure about when I first met
Hadley. She seemed to think about sex a
little differently which in a way showed how she felt about herself. I also wasn’t too sure about Wade
either. He seemed a little egotistical
to me. And don’t get me started on how
he treated women. But as I started to
get into the story things just seemed to change for me. I wanted to see these two characters change. I wanted to see Hadley feel better about
herself. You have to give praise to an
author who can create such complex characters that have you feeling some strong
emotions.
Make sure to keep your eyes open for the library. It’s very interesting and drinks are
allowed. So make sure to have your
alcoholic, or non-alcoholic, beverage of choice handy. I will need to get on the computer and do a
search. If there’s actually one out
there, what better place to reread this story.
It would add a different dimension to the story and bring a better
understanding of Wade and his business.
It’s a story where both people seem to blossom into something that the
other person needs. You may not have had
the best childhood but you can’t let it define your adulthood. Sometimes it just takes meeting that special
someone to see past the flaws and willing to do anything to make you
happy. I enjoyed the ending because it
left me smiling but it also left me wanting to see more from this author. It will be interesting to see how the author
does with the next book in this series.
