I’m the girl who likes ‘the cock in the back hole’
At least, that’s what the dating profile my so-called friends set up for me claims. I’m also into BDSM, Furries and ‘I’ll try anything twice.’
I have no idea the profile exists until the replies start rolling in. They range from funny, to downright creepy and everything in between. Just as I’m shutting down my email account for good, a new message pops up.
He’s funny and he's the only one to suspect the profile is a joke, so I think what the hell? I reply.
When he suggests that we meet, I say yes. When I walk into that bar, he's sitting at a table, facing the other way. He turns his head just enough for me to be able to make out his face…
Fuck.
It’s Cameron Hunter, one of the rudest, most arrogant assholes I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting.
He's also the son of one of the state's most influential judges.
The same judge who's about to become my step-father...

My Thoughts:
Darcy seems to have a reputation and I’m sure it’s not one you
would want. Cameron Hunter is a man who
likes a challenge. This may be
considered a stepbrother romance but not really. Their parents are not married at the time
this story begins but plans are under way.
Darcy had me thinking about kids who happen to have birthdays on
April Fool’s Day. I never thought about
it before but this author had me feel sorry for them. Cameron is a man, but with his behavior I would
say he is more of a young man, who seems to take things a little too far. He has a younger brother who seems to be part
of our comic relief. He’s a great
addition to the storyline and helps to move the scenes along.
Even though things work out in the end, you have to feel sorry for
everything Darcy had to go through. It
seems as if the joke is always on her.
And she seems to take it. I could
picture men continuing to take things too far but with friends like Darcy’s who
needs enemies. And that’s one thing our
author does, she gets us to think in Darcy’s shoes. This may be book six in the Awkward Love Series but at no time did I
get a sense that you need to read any of the other five books in order to enjoy
this latest addition. But this book did
make me curious what else she’s written.
