My Thoughts:

This is a story where I'm glad I have the audio version instead of the written word. When having someone tell the story, it makes it more emotional - so my warning to you is to make sure you have tissue within reach. It pulls so much at the heart that if Andrew were real, you'd want to give him a big hug. Some will know exactly what he is going through. You will see that this is his story to tell - the narration isn't exactly even. Holland is an old friend who seems to have lost touch but a tragedy has brought the two friends back together again. 

Mr. Arden and Ms. Mallon do a great job in getting me to picture what Andrew and Holland are going through as the story progresses. They have my rapt attention while they bring the words of Ms. Blakely alive. They show how sometimes we need to get away in order to bring things into perspective. I don't know that I'll ever get to Asia but I can see myself sitting in a dark corner at a Japanese restaurant as I listen to the book. The staff may look at me funny if they were to see me when I get to the ending where I have a big smile on my face knowing that Andrew has found his happiness. But there will also be tears because the ending was also bittersweet. Then the smile is back again when I find out the author has given me a little treat.

The only issues I had, and I don't think it had anything to do with the book, happened everytime I bent over. One time was when the female voice came on letting me know about the version of this book as our narrators are talking in the background. Another time it shut itself off so that I had to open the app up and restart the book. The last time it skipped a chapter and then restarted a chapter. It got to be frustrating but it didn't stop me from wanting to continue. 

It's a story that is so full of passion. But it was also full of frustration - not the characters and not the story. The frustration came when I had to shut it off. I could never find the perfect place to cut off my enjoyment. This is one of those stories that will never get old no matter how many times you listen. My iPod has my books listed in alphabetical order so it will be very easy to locate when I'm ready. I look forward to my next adventure with this author.
