Whitley’s main goal in survival is to stay unnoticed. A shadow against a wall, and nothing else.

Taken by a Notorious Devil in the midst of chaos, she’s no longer unseen.

Free, Vice President of the Devils has lived a lifetime of guilt. It consumes him, threatens to control him with every breath he takes.

He was resigned to a lifetime of paying his penance for the past. At least, until he sees her.

Scared, threatened, and young. She is his chance to lessen his guilty conscious—to protect an innocent.

BONUS SHORT STORY—DOUBLED WITH REGRET.

*Recommended for readers 18+ due to Violence, Language, and Sexual Content.

Whitley is in a real pickle not of her making. It was sad to see how her spirit was beat down by people that felt women were no better than cattle. Mason “Free” has had to see something that’s devastating. He’s a confusing character because his personality seems to change on a dime.

This is about a man who is a member of the Notorious Devils. If you haven’t read the previous two books in the series that’s alright – not needed to enjoy this latest addition. Whitley wasn’t at fault for the situation she found herself in but it was sad that she felt stupid. It was hard to believe that a relationship was going to form between two totally opposite characters. But that’s why a book is called a page-turner, we want to know where the author is going to take her characters. Sometimes it was hard to watch how Free would order Whitley around in order to get her to do what he wanted.

I kept looking to see if Whitley would grow into her freedom and really stand up for herself. I also wanted to see Free tone down his orders – but being in an MC seems to take over his personality. He redeems himself at the end where he confesses something to Whitley. He did make me curious about whether he made an appearance in the previous two books of the series – just means I have some reading to do. In the meantime, I’m trying to figure out if the ending was happy or if their story is going to be continued.

I was born and raised in California. My husband and I met when I was just 16. We were married a few years later, moving to Oregon while he was in the US Coast Guard.

Texas is now where we call home, where our boots rest, and where we're raising our two little boys and a chocolate lab named Optimus Prime.
