The Gallo's are back in this new standalone release
Synopsis:
This isn’t how fairy tales typically begin, but it’s where mine starts…
No money, no phone, and abandoned on the streets of Chicago.
With my baby in my arms, I wander into a bar in a shady neighborhood and ask to use their phone.
When my father turns us away and completely disowns me, the bar owner, and total hottie, offers us a place to stay…no strings attached.
I’m leery at first.
Hot alpha guy.
Down on her luck single mother.
I mean, who wouldn’t be wary?
Lucio Gallo isn’t like most men, though. He’s fiercely protective, loyal, and did I mention he’s covered in nothing but muscle?
Above all else, he’s everything I need but never knew I wanted.

My Thoughts:
Delilah Miles finds himself in quite the predicament. I like how strong our author made her I hope
if I were in her position that I would be that strong. Lucio Gallo has an interesting family. His mother Betty is one hot ticket. His siblings are a trip and a half. Having the Gallo family in Delilah’s world
seems to be fate. And it must have been
fate that I happened to have this book to read.
Our author shows that money isn’t everything – it can’t make you a
better person, it doesn’t buy you love, and it doesn’t always make you
happy. Delilah is one smart woman
because she rises above her family life and finds something better. We can’t always make assumptions based on
where a person resides.
The visuals with this book are both cute and hot. Lucio is one thing that helps with those
visuals – small spoiler alert he likes kids.
There’s nothing bad that I can say about this book. Right from the beginning Lucio is a very
likable man who seems to have a heart of gold.
Make no mistake; he’s also very bad.
Delilah seems to be at the right place at the right time. The whole Gallo clan seems to be there too
but Lucio’s siblings seem to like to tease – you’ll get a few chuckles out of
that.
As I was getting this review ready, I found that I missed at least
one book and that is titled The Gallos. Before I get ready for the next book in this Southside series, which is an offshoot
of the Men In Ink series, I need to
read that novella first. I’m not saying
you have to but I want to see if it gives me a little family background. But then I also have to read the rest of the Men In Ink so I think I’m going to be
busy for quite a while.
