My Thoughts:
Jill Simon hopes to change her life. Oliver Gage seems to be a man who has it
all. It seems like this book is in the
perfect setting. Having gone to New York
to see the Rockettes Christmas show this would fit in perfectly. You always hear how hard it is to make a name
for yourself in both Hollywood and New York so this makes the story plausible.
Oliver has his issues that you can see happening to someone
famous. You have to feel sorry for
him. But that doesn’t stop his interest
in Jill. He’s good for her though
because he is good at bringing her out of her shell. Jill’s story also seems plausible because you
have the small town girl coming to the big city to find her part of the
American dream.
It’s a story that doesn’t feel completed. As if there is more to their story. There is another story to follow this one so
it makes me wonder if our couple will make an appearance. Well the only way to know for certain will be
to make sure that I read VIP when it
comes out in January. What’s nice about
this holiday read is that because it’s a novella the reading time is
short. This author knows how to make you
laugh which you may find yourself needing with the holidays getting closer and
closer.
