Blurb:

Natasha is engaged to Josh, her childhood sweetheart and the man she’s loved almost all of her life. Her future seems all planned out, but she’s not sure it’s what she really wants.

When business commitments take Josh overseas, Natasha and Gabriel Owens, a partially sighted artist, are thrown together. Despite their immediate clash of personalities, there is an undeniable intrigue between them.

As an unexpected twist of fate leaves Natasha reeling, she finds her life in free fall. Does Gabriel have the tenacity and inner strength to pick up the pieces when he himself has so many insecurities and his own life is far from perfect?

Will they be able to piece together one another’s perfect imperfections?

My Thoughts:

Natasha gets the surprise of her life.  She’s all about helping out her family.  She has a fiancĂ© named Josh.  Right out of the gate, I just didn’t feel any type of connection between the two of them.  He certainly has grandiose plans but where does Natasha fit into those plans.  And that could be why I just don’t feel there’s anything there for these two.  But conflict is a great way to grab a reader’s attention.

But on a good note, I found that Natasha had an interesting family and was looking forward to getting to know them – quirks and all.  Never had a sister so I can’t say that I understand where Adrianna is coming from.  There are times you have to feel sorry for what Natasha seems to be going through.  This shows how creative our authors are by getting their readers involved in the story.

We have another character named Gabriel Owens.  He seems to be creating something special for Natasha.  He’s a unique character that he doesn’t feel he needs to impress anyone.  The authors haven’t made him a very likeable guy.  I loved the banter that went on between Gabriel and Natasha.  He is what grabbed my attention and had me looking forward to whenever these two were together.

If you’re expecting a quick read, you will not get that here.  The scenes aren’t slow but they don’t go by quickly either.  Like fine wine, these things take time.  I was happy with the ending because it left me wanting to see how life is affecting these characters in Perfectly Flawed coming out in May.
