My Thoughts:

Jessica has a day that just seems to be going from bad to worse. Jason Jenks does not put his best foot forward when we first meet him. There’s a third main character just because she’s important to our couple and her name is Martha. She’s is both an experience and a woman who will make you hungry – she may even have you wanting to get into the kitchen. We have a short introduction to a friend of Jason and he had me wondering what his problem was but he also becomes important to their story.

Our author does a great job in getting the reader to feel the emotions that Jessica and Jason are feeling. I loved the attitude that Jessica had. She’s been burned and not willing to take any BS from just about anyone. Martha is the one that seems to diffuse things when they are all in the same space at the same time. Jason seems to have a chip on his shoulder and seems to have more in common with Jessica than he can see. You do have to feel sorry for Jessica though because at times it seems Murphy’s Law is laughing at her.

The author is known for her hot and steamy reads but this could be considered sweet compared to others. That’s not to say that you won’t feel the heat building when our couple is in the same space. You won’t be able to hold back a laugh or a chuckle with their behavior when they’re out in public – can hear my mother in my head making a comment on that one. It was nice that it took the whole story to see if Jason could change his ways. That’s what made it my page-turner story. I loved that the Epilogue was done in Jessica’s point of view. Since we start the story from her pov why not end the same way so you can see how far she’s come.
