Synopsis:
The perfect man for her is the one she hates most. #gofigure
Dating is hard.
Dating in your thirties is even harder.
Dating in Chicago is harder still.
I haven't given up on finding my happily-ever-after, but in the age of swiping right and Netflix and chill, I'm wondering if everything is as temporary as my marriage turned out to be.
Truth is, there is one guy I can't get my mind off of.
Roarke Baldwin has salt and pepper hair I've dreamed of running my hands through and I'm pretty sure that if I checked he really does have a six pack of abs underneath his suit. And I've always wondered what that stubble on his face would feel like between my thighs.
The problem? He's the one man I hate more than my ex-husband…
His divorce attorney.

My Thoughts:
Hannah Crowley is trying to find a way to come up with a solution
to her problem. Roarke Baldwin thinks he
has that solution but is shot down. He’s
certainly a smooth talker – I loved it. He’s also creative on how he goes after what
he wants. It could be considered an
enemies to lovers tale but how can that be true when one of them doesn’t feel
that they’re enemies.
Our authors are very sneaky.
They create a scene, I’m waiting for more, but they have my head going
somewhere else. This is a great
motivator to see where they’re leading their characters. It also made it difficult to put down. They created plenty of frustration, tension,
and angst. One part that was frustrating
was all the talking . But that’s also a
good thing since if Hannah and Roarke are talking how can they be enemies.
We have some great secondary characters. If you’re following the series than you know
than you know that one of them had their own story in Manic Monday. If not, once
you’ve been introduced to Victoria you may want to go back and learn more about
her. And if you loved her story, make
sure to check out Chelsea’s in Afternoon Delight. Chelsea and Victoria will certainly give you
some laughs here and that just adds to the enjoyment out of this already
interesting story. And since I enjoyed
this book why not go back and see what I’ve missed.
