I received this audiobook from Audiobookworm Promotions and the author, Suzanne Steele. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

I now have three children, two sons and a daughter, to carry on the legacy of their father, Glazov.
My Thoughts:
I have to start off this review by letting you know that the main character is a man who knows what he wants from his wife. He's also a man who rules his business with an iron fist. This story is an interesting mix of his need for his wife and doing his daily business. Neither Glazov nor his wife seem to be tiring of each other even having been together for so many years. With them still so in to each other made it hard to believe they had grown children.
As this story continues on I felt that I was missing how the husband and wife got to this point. i was alright with not having listened to the first book in order to enjoy this one. But I think to get a full grasp on the type of relationship they have, I will need to go back and either read or listen to Glazov.
Just like the people in the Bratva, these people do what has to be done to stay on top. But they are also family. Suspicion is part of their life and the women show how it affects their lives as well as the men's. The language is very raw, expressive, and graphic - and so is the physical aspect of Glazov and Kathleen's relationship. There are secondary characters but felt their story gets lost as the matriarch's story always seems front and center.
When I think of Glazov, and all the people in his world, I think of a man with an accent. Mr. Valor does a good job with keeping me both entertained and intrigued. I didn't mind the fact that he doesn't attempt to read this with an accent because we still get the feeling as to how a man in a Bratva acts toward his family and the people he does business with.
Ms. Steele does a good job in creating a story that gives me a look into a Bratva family. Having the story done in the first person gives us more of a sense on what they're thinking as well as what they're doing. For those that don't like anything hardcore you might want to stay away from this series. I actually tried to write this review as I was re-listening to sections of the book but found it became impossible. With how graphic a lot of these scenes are, they pulled my attention away. This is not a story where the reader can fill in the blanks - you know exactly what is going on at all times. So some of you need to think of your comfort zone before picking this up. I, however, am ready to see more of what this family is all about.

Suzanne Steele is a television host for a TV program in her local Charlotte NC area. She focuses on volunteer work and is very heavily involved in giving back to her local community. The month of October will be spent focusing on breast cancer awareness.Suzanne has a penchant for writing about dark characters with twisted behavioral patterns. If you're looking for the typical romance, this is probably not the author for you. Her characters are very alpha in nature and many times they operate under obsession for the object of their affection; rather than love. Though she does believe in happily ever afters, her characters many times have a bumpy ride getting there.
She also writes under the pseudonym Stormy Dawn Weathers for her writings that aren't so darkly laced with a true realism of shock and awe. Suzanne Steele does not believe in holding back when it comes to writing about how dark and depraved her characters are in the core of their primal natures.
Samuel Valor is a voice performance artist and narrator. He hails from Southern California where he spends his time writing, recording, and playing music. He has voiced a wide variety of books and commercials, from Shakespeare to mustard to romance, whatever needs that extra bit of masculine energy to spice it up. He has a four octave range, which allows for a wide variety of voices and sounds.
