My Thoughts:

The author has written a note to her readers that you will want to make sure to read.

Our author does such a good job in setting the scene in the first chapter that I could almost smell the ocean as the breeze comes up from the beach. Tank is protective toward anyone in his circle. Leah seems a little gun shy. We get to know these two separately until the author creates a scene that will rock their world.

Having a tissue nearby might be a good idea. There were even times where I wondered if one tissue was going to be enough – so having a box might be better. Some may be more sensitive about certain things or some scenes might bring back memories. On the upside, there’s plenty of laughable moments.

I seem to repeat myself with this author. She writes her characters in such a way that you can picture them as friends or family. It’s like, without realizing it, she makes you feel a part of their group. It’s not hard to get attached to the characters you get to know. Or maybe you want to explore some of the sites she writes about – or the Cape in general. But whatever it is, our author has the right combination to keep her fans happy and coming back for more.

I think that this is the one book that tugged at my heart the most. And to that end, my most favorite read of hers to date. Her stories will always create some type of emotion in you and give you more understanding of what her characters are about. I know that this is a work of fiction but there were things said and done that just seem to ring true for me. This book seemed to give me a sense of calm which made me enjoy the story that much more – even though the emotions packed a big punch.

The more physical side of things didn’t matter to me – but when it came it was totally hot. I liked watching our main characters grow as a couple emotionally and seeing how Leah and her family got closer to the Wickeds and their inner circle. There’s an MC side to the story but it doesn’t push its way into the forefront. They do what they do for those they care about which is just a part of who they are. One last thing Ms. Foster is very good at is giving me the perfect ending that had me laugh a little while leaving me with a smile on my face.
