Zara Trinity was ready to find her place in the world, but she never thought she would have the power to change it.
Her eighteenth birthday brings betrayal and family secrets to the surface that threaten to overwhelm her as she learns to wield her new powers.
Losing her mother at a young age Zara was raised by her guardian Aaron. As the leader of the Protectors of the Trinity Aaron had sworn and oath to protect her. He regretted his role in the secrets he kept, but knew it was necessary for the prophecy.
Being hunted by Dimitri, an assassin she never expected to have feelings for leads Zara down an unexpected path. Holding the fate of Humanity in her hands will she be strong enough to withstand the tests ahead?
This book is for anyone who has ever loved and lost, ever struggled between faith and doubt and battled the darkness within.
Book 1 in the Trinity Ring series…
Zara should be celebrating her special day not dreading what may be coming. Aaron has been preparing for this moment for quite some time. Another that seems to be of some importance here is Erebus. You can almost feel a darkness when he is around. Then Dimitri enters the mix that amps up the suspense.
This is a story that may be pure fantasy but has bits of realism to it. You just never know who your neighbor may be. This may be a new author but she seemed to know what might grab a reader’s attention. No scene seemed to drag on – everything moved along smoothly. It has some action if you like that with your suspense. There are times where you might cringe but that’s just because she does a good job with her descriptions. There’s a sense of family that seems to pop up every once in a while.
It’s a story that is tagged for new adults but any adult might enjoy what the characters have to offer. The author will keep us guessing as to who is good and who is bad. But I find that it’s more fun when I’m kept guessing until we get ready for the end. And you will find it is a very good end, or is it a beginning, for Zara and those she loves.
