My Thoughts:

Violet Vancroft is a woman who is one of a kind. She seems to march to her own drummer but is willing to compromise to see her sister happy. Andre Shaw is not happy with the turn of events. He had motivation to create something near and dear to his heart. I liked how he wasn’t afraid to give up – even though he wanted to change his mind a couple of times.

I liked that Violet seemed to be a free spirit – she doesn’t conform to what people expect. But she was also sad because her mother is also a free spirit and that spirit took time away from her sister. I loved watching these two siblings because I missed not having a sister of my own. Her sister, Desiree, had her own story titled Bayside Passions. If you’ve already read that book than you certainly cannot pass up on this one. I can see myself going back and rereading both sisters’ stories one after the other.

Maybe you’re a person that loves second chance romances. I think this is one you may want to check out. There are ups and downs that can get in the way – maybe even a few bumps in the road. But Violet and Andre show that if you can learn to forgive and work together that happiness is possible. Someone that stood in the middle is a secondary character named Justin Wicked. He made me curious and he’s got that dimple bad boy persona down. Part of his attraction may have been his connection to Violet but I still wanted to know what the attraction was. The sad part about the ending, I still couldn’t figure out if he’s going to show up somewhere else.

I cheated. I went to the author’s website and looked to see what she has coming out this year. Snap my fingers, I couldn’t find anything. But a friend of Andre’s, Brindle, does have a book coming out in June so I can’t wait to read her story.
