My Thoughts:

Fox Collins starts his day the exact same way – he needs a little something to shake up that routine.  Melody Waters has her work cut out for her but she has a hard time focusing.  Their story has an interesting beginning because neither one is into a relationship – not looking to connect.  But the author has a way of creating something that you can feel – even though you can’t touch it. 

You’ll have no trouble feeling the sense of family – how much they love and support each other.  What’s good about this series is that you could go ahead and enjoy this book without having read Dare and Kenzie’s story.  But after getting a little taste of them here, I’m sure you’ll want to see what you’ve missed.  Just like any family, each sibling has his or her own personality.  I’m not going to pick and choose who’s my favorite – especially since the series isn’t complete yet.  Plus you never know, it may be a significant other that ends up being my favorite.

Fox and Melody have a past but it was short and sweet so I wouldn’t classify this as a second chance.  As we see their relationship slowly progress – you can be patient because it will be well worth the wait.  Our author adds in a little mystery – in case you need a little extra incentive to see where these two are going.  She also adds in a “surprise” to help move this story along.  And if that doesn’t work for you, than watch out for a little old lady – don’t let her know I said that – who will steal both her scenes and your heart.  She certainly had me think of my own grandmother.  I don’t know if it was the heat in the ending or because we’re going through a heat wave but I had to turn my fan up in order to cool down.  And I’m left sitting on my hands waiting for that next book to bring me back to Whiskey.
