Rocco is the third book in a full-length, standalone series by New York Times bestselling author, Sarah Castille, set in Las Vegas and featuring deliciously sexy mafia bosses and the women who can’t help but love them.
Mafia enforcer Rocco De Lucchi is the best in the business.
Cold, hard, and utterly ruthless, Rocco is the most dangerous of men. Feelings are a luxury he cannot afford―until a chance encounter brings him face to face with the only woman who found her way into his heart and touched his soul.
Grace Mantini has spent her whole life running from the mob. The daughter of the boss's right-hand man, she is both a prize and a target. When Rocco walks back into her life, she wants nothing to do with the man who betrayed her and broke her heart. But only Rocco can protect her from the dangerous forces that seek to destroy her family. Can they escape the hands of fate closing around them? Or will love be the kiss of death for them both?

My Thoughts:
Grace Mantini isn’t living her dream. Rocco “Frankie” DeLucchi hates what he does
for a living. It was interesting to
watch this war of wills. He’s got the
Alpha bad attitude down to a science.
She’s found her voice and won’t be silenced.
This story is sad. It’s one
that doesn’t romanticize the life of the Mafia.
The book shows more of a harsh reality.
But our author also gives us a lighter side so don’t expect the story to
get too dark. We have a secondary
character named Mike. He’s a nice enough
character but the way this author wrote a certain scene, and you’ll understand
once you read it, I had to laugh – it was comical. But then the author turns around and gives
you another dose of reality.
This back and forth and up and down is what kept me glued to my
e-reader. I had to know what Ms.
Castille’s got going on next for both our couple and our secondary characters. If you’re all for the danger and suspense,
well then this will satisfy that itch.
But our couple doesn’t have things easy so at times it can get
frustrating. But it’s a good frustration
because it’s just one more reason to keep you glued to the pages of a good
book.
The books in this series are tied together but you don’t need to
have read them in order to enjoy this latest.
This was one of those rare occasions where the secondary characters
helped in the enjoyment of the scenes.
But some of them also had the opposite effect. We have a perfect mixture, which also
includes the heat that could get out of control with Grace and Rocco. The frustration came with an ending that
didn’t give me any types of clues as to whether there will be a book four or
not.
