TLA AmazonThe best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. And I have the perfect candidate all picked out.

My new assistant is tempting beyond belief with her curvy body and take-no-shit attitude. All those luscious curves, and a juicy ass I’m already in love with. God, the things that I would do to that ass…

But it’s the haunted look in her eyes that speaks to me. Like she’s taken just as much shit in her past as I have—maybe more. We both deserve a little fun.

Love can’t fix everything. Mind-blowing sex and a few killer orgasms, on the other hand?

I have a feeling those might do the trick.

My Thoughts:

Cooper Kingsley is feeling down.  Corinne O’Neil is starting over.  They have a very unique and interesting first meeting.  It’s a sexy boss/employee read.  You have to wonder with all the bad press going on how it will affect this type of story.

Even though this is pure fiction, I hope that readers will leave the real world out of it.  Give both the author and this story a chance.  Corinne seems so timid that it makes you wonder what’s going on and why does she seem to keep running away.  Cooper is something of a mystery if you start this series here.  If you’re looking to understand more about him then you should start the Forbidden Desires series from the beginning.

For me, it became hard to believe that our main characters would end up as a couple.  I could see the heat but other things just made it tough to imagine them taking things to the next level.  Could feel frustration coming off the page.  The author gives me that happy ending which is always nice to see but I still couldn’t feel a connection between Corinne and Cooper.  I’m not ready to give up yet and look forward to seeing what the author has in store for the next Kingsley.
