Beaten at the hands of his peers, he knows judgment. The domino effect of one person's crime going unpunished never heals.
He's no saint.
Mitchell "Trapper" Gates fears nothing. He begs for death and relishes life on the edge.
He's also not afraid to call himself a sinner.
Trapper knows what it is to be violated and what it feels like to deliver a death blow. He knows love and he knows pain.
However, one person knows his every secret.
When Avery has waited long enough, can Trapper see beyond their past and into their future? Or is he too late?
Love, hate, anger, and passion collide as the time comes and the devil demands his due.
Twinsie Talks - "I have WAITED and WAITED for this book. OMG the secrets that are spilled. The story of Trapper and Avery is something I never saw coming."
Spunky-n-Sassy - "Never ever have I read a book this perfect."
Our author has included a warning that you need to make sure to
read before continuing this last story in the Devil’s Due MC series.
Mitchell “Trapper” Gates seems to have a guilty conscience. He’s also got a past that’s wrecking havoc
with a possible future. Usually in the
MC books I have no trouble using the character’s club name. But in this story, from beginning to end, he
was Mitchell for me. Avery Collins knows
the pain that Mitchell has been through.
This author is very good at creating some painful scenes. There’s no way that you won’t feel something
as you get a look into the life of our main characters. When we get a picture in our heads of what a
man in an MC looks like it’s all superficial.
Ms. Camaron gives us a look into the child that became a man long before
he should have. It was a tough read and
one I had to put down because of all the pain our couple had to endure. What was sad was that the adults constantly
failed the children.
Avery is someone that pays attention. There are those that look one way to the
outside world and are pure evil on the inside.
This may be a total work of fiction but our world has changed a lot
since I was a kid – certain things were never talked about. The rose-colored glasses have been ripped
off. Even though these scenes are
fictional, they have a ring of truth to them – based on our current state of
affairs. There were times that I wished
that I could jump through my e-reader and do something, anything, so that the
child thinks there’s an adult that cares.
This was one book that I had to force myself not to skip
ahead. There’s just so much pain and
hurt and nothing I can do about it. But
like everything – that too shall pass.
So I pulled up my pants and soldiered on. Plus I held out hope that happiness was
around the corner. It’s sad that this is
all coming to an end but the good news is that I can go back and revisit at any
time. I know that the author says this
is the last in the series but…
