Abandoned & Broken
Left alone to raise a family, widower Darcy Kyle’s life has spiraled out of control. When secrets about her husband’s past emerge, Darcy is forced to confront the fact her husband’s fatal accident may, in fact, have been deliberate. Forced to sell her soul to the Devil himself, Darcy must uncover the truth of her husband’s accident…before it’s too late.
Betrayed & Bitter
Cast into Hell, Raze has given his life as President of the Heaven’s Rejects MC, but what good is it when he can’t protect the people he cares about? His brother’s death, his wife’s betrayal… it’s too much for a mere mortal to handle. Luckily for Raze, he is the ruler of this Hell on Earth. But even the Devil has a weakness, and when Darcy Kyle sticks her nose in the club’s business he finds himself questioning his loyalty to his brother’s memory.
How can the Devil resist an angel bathed in the ashes of the fallen?
My Thoughts:
Darcy Kyle gets a visit that makes her visibly mad. Raze has some disturbing business he needs to
take care of. She is very upset with the
MC and some of that rage is directed toward Raze. This story shows what the president of an MC
has to deal with – sometimes it’s not just the club but family as well.
A situation comes up and it shows that Darcy will do anything for
family. She also won’t take any shit
from Raze and he’s at the top of her shit list.
Raze seems to be a man with two personas. There’s the one that he has for the MC and
then the one that he shows to Darcy. I
loved how the author made her Darcy character – she’s not willing to accept
what she’s told and she’s willing to find a way to get closure.
When you find a series that you want to follow, you will find that
the books get better as they go along. I
found this to be true in this case. I
enjoyed book one but found I loved this one just a little more. And that of course sealed the deal – I have
to read more. My only problem was that I
couldn’t find any information on a book three.
The author covers a lot of ground in this book but no scene drags
out and you get to see more about those that are part of the Heaven’s Rejects. We also get to see some tender moments and
one such scene involves both Darcy and Raze.
By the time you finish this book, you will understand what a great
storyteller this author is. It also
shows how creative she is. Some MC books
can be violent but this is more on the tame side but language is graphic and in
some instances strong so that you know where these men belong. Our ending shows that something good can come
out of something so tragic. Our main
characters may be claiming each other but we’re being claimed as well.
