He pulled his hand away, and she moaned, opening her eyes. He gazed at her for a second, and pulled her upright and put his hands on her shoulders. “You deserve all the promises in the world. I’m just not there yet. I’m—”
She laid her fingers against his lips. “Shhh. I’m not asking for any promises. I’m not asking for tomorrow. I’m not making that mistake again. I’m not asking for your soul, either.” She frowned. “I just want now. This second. I just want you.”
He held her gaze for a couple of seconds, as if measuring her sincerity. And then he dropped his head. “I don’t des—”
“Don’t say that. You might get to choose what you deserve. But I do too. I deserve this.” She wanted to stamp her foot. “I deserve you. I waited so long. Thought about you for so long. Said ‘no’ to so many dates. You ruined this past year for me. So the way I see it, you owe me now.”
He raised his head with the beginnings of a smile playing around the corners of his mouth. “I owe you, huh?” He narrowed his eyes and walked her backward until her calves hit the bed.
“Yes you do,” she replied in a whisper. “And I intend on collecting.”

Molly Solent is not having a good start to her business trip. David Church is there at the right time to
help Molly sort out the life that just got totally crazy. In order for the story to seem more real, the
author sneaks in some current events into her story. She also adds in some international intrigue
that will hold the reader’s attention.
Molly and David have met previously so if you haven’t followed the
series you may want to go back and read the other books - especially if you
want to know more about the characters. But
I don’t feel that you need to have read those books in order to enjoy this most
recent story. The author takes her
adventure to the streets of Athens. It reminds
me how I’ve always wanted to go to Greece – but not sure I’d like the same type
of adventure that Molly had.
If you are someone that likes a romantic suspense story with
characters that are military then you will want to make sure to add this book to
your TBR list. In order for this book to
sound so realistic, the author must have done a lot of research or has a great
imagination. But this is also what makes
the book so enjoyable. You have to keep
reading in order to find out if the mystery gets solved. There’s also plenty of action that you don’t
realize how quickly the pages are going by.
And of course there’s some romance in there that ties the two characters
together. It also turns up the heat
level – one might say combustible. One
more reason to find out what happens between Molly and David.
