The complete novel that comprises Demon’s Fury, Demon’s
Vow and Inner Demon.
Powerful warlock and tattoo artist Gage has managed to escape
the magical Ivory Towers who terrorize the rest of humans and monsters—but at a
price. Now he must join forces with his nemesis, Gideon, to stop an entity that
is using forbidden Death Magic to commit gruesome murders across the nation.
And if that’s not keeping him busy enough, an investigator recruits Gage to
help her track a killer … who might be targeting tattoo artists.
When Gage discovers a demon locked away, it offers him
access to dark magic in exchange for its freedom—a dangerous opportunity, but
one that could save his loved ones. Gage must choose between what is right and
what is easy.

My Thoughts:
What
can be better than to get three books for the price of one – I can’t think of
anything at the moment. It’s a set of
stories that doesn’t take you long to realize that you need to read the
complete Asylum Tales. It will help to make these three tales flow
better. Some may say that this set can
be read as a stand-alone but if you want to know whom Gage Powell, and the other
people he associates with, is I would go back and start this series from the
beginning.
The
stories have me willing to believe that there is a fine line between reality
and the paranormal. Do we actually know
who, and what, live among us? Look at
our history in regards to prejudice and then you realize that they probably
don’t want to show themselves. I mean,
how would an author go about proving that they do exist – what better way than
with a book set like this one.
My
disappointment was not with the author but with my reader. The kindle app kept shutting down – error
message of “Unfortunately, Kindle has stopped”.
When you’re trying to read a book that has caught your attention, you
don’t want to keep fighting with having to restart the app. This is one reason that I still love reading
my paperbacks. But I also didn’t allow
my frustration to stop me either. It
just took me longer.
If
you’re a reader that loves a character that has tattoos then you’ll want this
set on your radar. Having a paranormal
twist just adds a little extra to the read.
At first I thought the ending of the third book was sad but then when I
think on it, I have to wonder if that is the final ending or if we’ll see this
author’s characters somewhere else. What
a perfect ending because I’ll want to continue to follow the author to see what
other books she has coming out.
Author Information:
Love comes in many varied forms. There is the love of
family, love of country, and love of chocolate. But for Jocelynn Drake, one
truly treasured love is the love of a good story. This Midwestern native spends
the majority of her time lost in the strong embrace of a good book. When she’s
not hammering away at her keyboard, frowning at her monitor, or curled up with
a book, she can usually be found cuddling with her cat Demona, walking her dog
Max, or flinging curses at the TV while playing a video game. Outside of books,
cats, and video games, she is completely enamored of Bruce Wayne, Ezio
Auditore, travel, tattoos, explosions, fast cars, and Anthony Bourdain (but
only when he’s feeling really cranky).
