The author includes quite the Playlist so you may need to slow down your reading so that you can finish both at the same time.

Trent is angry about the turn of events.  Scarlet may have a tough exterior but words still have the power to hurt.  They are an interesting pair.  One that you are going to quickly become addicted to.  Putting down the book became very hard to do – especially when we go back in time.

They seem like the perfect pair but they are polar opposites which shows the author’s creativity.  But with how the author weaves her story, she makes things between them seem possible.  Even though this was a relatively short read, the reader won’t feel shortchanged or that anything has been rushed.  Ms. Brooks makes everything flow and having everything make sense. She has a way of creating people that seem somewhat relatable while weaving some suspense around them.  And that’s what quickly drew me into what was going on.

As I’m getting toward the ending, I was on tenterhooks trying to figure out how she was going to end things.  If you have never read this author before, I think you’ll find that you will quickly become a fan.  I can’t wait to see what else I can sink my teeth into.
