Heir to a powerful dynasty.
Wealth. Power. Aristocracy.
Temptations too dangerous to resist.
Until someone tried to steal it all.
Scarred and broken, I emerged from the flames.
Now I’ve returned to take what’s mine.
Revenge.
The first item on my agenda?
Make Ivy Moreno my wife.
Second?
Bend her until she breaks.

My Thoughts:
Ivy sticks up for herself but it’s hard to when you have an overbearing brother. Santiago is fulfilling a family obligation. I don’t know what each author contributed to this story but that’s a good thing. They have written a dark, some may say gothic, story. If you want to know what the word evil means then you will find several examples here.
One thing that you may find is that once you start the book, you won’t be able to put it down until you get to the end. It’s that addicting – the characters became my drug of choice. The sad part of the ending is that we are left hanging. But you’ll find a promise so I will keep my fingers crossed.
Our authors kept me intrigued from the moment our main characters met. I had to know what they had in store for Ivy and Santiago as well as for their readers. Having gotten to the end and looking forward to book two, I’m going to see what else they have collaborated on. To give each author their due, I’ll have to see what else each has written – my library keeps expanding and that’s never a bad thing.
