BLURB:

‘Bound not by blood but loyalty.
We live, we ride, and we die
by our own laws’

I’ve always known where I belong. I was born to wear the Dirty Soul patch. Club life is the only life I’ve ever wanted. The President, Jimmer Carson, raised me like a son, and he trusted me with his family.
My loyalty to him and the Souls is unbreakable.

When tragedy strikes our club, the life I thought I knew is thrown into turmoil. Loyalties are questioned, bonds are severed, and rules are broken.
For the first time in my life, I feel lost

She’s a complication I shouldn’t pursue. Far too perfect to be mine. But I fear she could also be the missing part of my Lost Soul.

Lost Soul is the first book in the Dirty Souls MC series.

***Warning***
Lost Soul and all future books in the Dirty Souls MC series are all a work of fiction. Due to the nature of the series you should expect to come across subject matter that some readers may find disturbing.

My Thoughts:

Author has posted a warning to her readers and as you get into the story you will understand why.

Hayley has known one thing for most of her life.  Jessie has had to endure a lot in his young life and it will come to shape who he is as a man.  I like how the author chose to start her story.  We get to see the MC children’s point of view.

In the beginning, I felt like I was watching a train wreck ready to happen and there was nothing I could do to stop it from happening.  And I have Cher hitting me on the back of my head telling me to “snap out of it!”  My mind wanted to jump ahead so that assumptions I had made would be confirmed or not.  Instead of letting our author do her job and having her tell me her story, my mind was deciding what was going to happen.

Our author also made it very tough to not just jump to the ending in order to find out if my conclusions actually happened or not.  Just goes to show how she can take fictional characters and make them seem so real.  She also made it a story that will grab you by the arms and not let go until the very last word is read.

For me, this story was told in two parts.  You will understand when you read it – or maybe it’s just me.  By introducing me to Hayley, the author has gotten me hooked on her series.  But she takes it a step further when I get introduced to Maddy.  She’s also why I’m glad that I listened to Cher and didn’t jump ahead.  If I had, I would have missed something very important to the storyline.  The story was sad but I feel that it represents how some of us might view the MC lifestyle.  She doesn’t romanticize it in any way.  Now that I’ve met this new MC group, I’m sad this book is over but I think one of the secondary characters has set me up for book two.  Can’t wait to dive in but may need to keep Cher close at hand in case I get the urge again.
