My Thoughts:
Ryan “Griff” Griffin doesn’t start this story off on a happy
note. But not every occasion is a happy
one after all. Rebecca “Becky” Johnson
is thinking about what could have been.
The author has created a cute matchmaker. It will be interesting to see if she’s got
the right touch for our couple. I
realized early on that I have a series that I need to catch up on and a new
author to discover.
This story is more than a Rockstar romance. Our author humanizes a member of a band. We see that they’re human just like us. That goes for feelings of happiness, sadness,
and frustration. They love just like we
do but they’re also in the public eye where you or I don’t have to worry about
being under a microscope for the foreseeable future. It must be hard if you’re
claustrophobic. Our author also shows
the choices people have to make and not all are easy ones. I liked that she told the story in the first
person. It must be hard getting into the
mind of the character and speaking for them.
But for us it gives us a better understanding of what the characters are
feeling and thinking. And once I
finished the book I had to wonder about Griff’s bandmates. What will I discover once I read their
stories.
