About COLD SECRETS:
Rating: 5 Stars
Computer expert Ashley Chen joined the FBI to fight against evil in the world—evil she experienced firsthand. She has mad skills, and deadly secrets, and once she starts working with Lucas, she also has big trouble, because after years of pushing people away, she’s falling for the guy. The feeling is more than mutual, but as Ashley intensifies her online pursuit of the trafficking ring, her traumatic past collides with her present and suddenly Lucas can’t tell which side she’s on. And as the case escalates into a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, it turns out Ashley isn’t the only one with something to hide.
If neither can trust the other with their secrets, how can they trust each other with their hearts?

My Thoughts:
Where does Cold Secrets rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I would say this ranks up near the top. It was an experience that I thoroughly enjoyed.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Cold Secrets?
I really didn't have a memorable moment. I'm terrible at mysteries and I certainly had trouble figuring out where this story was going. But that's what gets me hooked because it's always a surprise. My mind tries to go in one direction and then the author has it going in another. I think my disappointment would come if my mind actually started figuring things out because than it would become predictable.
Which scene was your favorite?
I don't know that I can answer that because I could inadvertently give something away and I don't want to spoil it for someone else. I will say that Mr. Dove was a perfect choice as the narrator to have for this series. My Wish List has now been increased by a few books. I can't picture any other narrator giving me this perfect listener experience. It makes me wonder if Ms. Anderson had him as an inspiration when creating her heroes.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It was a book that I wanted to listen to in one sitting but it just wasn't possible. At some point in time I would like to try. But then the problem becomes if I want to listen to the whole series - one book after the other. I would need to sleep at some point.
Any additional comments?
I fell in love while listening to this book. The story line kept me transfixed. I'm in awe in how this author can create such an unbelievable story. Mr. Dove has the perfect voice for her characters. I don't miss the fact that there's no woman narrator to help create the female characters. He does a good job all on his own. I've listened to two books in the Cold Justice series and each book holds its own so you could decide that you don't want to listen to the books in order. But at some point, if you are like me, you want to make sure to continue the series. I don't think that I would get either the e-book or a print copy of the book because I'm having too much fun listening to Mr. Dove read me a story.
