I always read the author’s dedication. This was the first time that it spoke to me personally and some of you may feel the same.
Coy would laugh if he knew the definition of his name. Especially with how the outside world sees him. Bellamy has a run in with her past. It comes at a time when her heart is hurting.
You know this book is going to give you a fun ride when the author gives you the right amount of laughs, heat, angst, anger and for added measure we get a really cute kid. She also does a good job at giving me an idea of the ups and downs of Coy’s business. It can be cut-throat and how some people can feel used. It’s a great way to give the reader a sense of realism.
The subplot of the story really pulled at my heart. It seems at some point you’re either going to know of someone, know someone, or have personal experience with it. There’s no way that you can’t be affected by it. So, having at least one tissue at hand might be a good thing – just in case. But that also helps to turn the story around. And just like in real life, sometimes something happens in our lives that creates a change. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t find happiness either. I’m ready to see what book two will have in store for us.
