Hailey is always up for a new adventure. Ewan has decided that it’s time to take a chance. Our author takes us on a trip to another country where we get to see some of what it has to offer through her character’s eyes. I found it interesting that the author mentions another author’s work but if you consider how popular it is, how could she not.
She goes one step further by bringing Ewan into Hailey’s neck of the world. She creates a connection between the main characters that’s not hard to see. Ms. Vines made it very easy to hear Ewan’s brogue every time he spoke. That’s what makes me eager to get the audiobook version so that I can see how the voice actor will bring his character to life.
It was fun to watch her characters create some heat and how they went about fueling those flames. But we get to have some that can be left to the imagination. We have two people that seem so comfortable with each other. Then there’s life’s complications and we have to see how Hailey and Ewan deal with them – it's hard to look away. It will be all worth it in the end.
If you’ve never read Park Avenue Player, this may give you the incentive to see where this author got her inspiration. One thing that’s great about this series is that I’m discovering authors I have never heard of before. The bad thing is that my TBR list keeps getting longer. Good news is that at some point I will retire and then I can finally work on getting through that list.
