My Thoughts:
Stephanie LaRue has gone home to face her past. Ford Matthews is feeling lost and not knowing what to do. It’s a sad beginning. It’s a beginning of two lonely people and there may be some people out there who know those feelings personally. You may be around people all the time and can still be lonely.
Some people may like big city life or even that of a big town. Stephanie shows the reader what’s good, and bad, about a small one. Ford shows the reader the fun side of family. The biggest part of this story is getting a second chance. Who knew that second chances could be so hot – thank goodness for a/c.
Our main characters have several interactions where you might say “that’s so true” and that’s just one reason why this seems so realistic. Our author is an artist and her words are her paint brush. You will have no trouble picturing every scene as it plays out. She will also having us feeling sorry for Stephanie and Ford. And that’s just one more reason why this seems so realistic. If the reader doesn’t feel invested in the storyline, why would they want to go back for more. And this author has the right combination so that you will always want to go in for more. Ms. Faiman will give you the smile and tear moment that is also part of that combination and have you wanting to know what’s coming next.
