My Thoughts:
Sadie Bell lets us know how sad and bad she feels. Kaden “Kade” Hades makes me angry for how he
puts the woman he supposedly loves last in his life – after all it’s for the
best right? He allows his pain to
dictate his life but then it seems like he projects that on the one person he
supposedly loves the most. I had to
laugh that at the beginning when he said “we” it felt more like an “I”.
It surprised me that I made him the reason for continuing to turn
the page. I wanted to see if he redeemed
himself. There must have been a little
telepathy thing going on because the author shows that he wasn’t always an… -
I’ll let you fill that in. We have two
kids that are added into the mix that are complete opposites. Add into that a twisted parent. Our author certainly gives the readers their
money’s worth. Is the story about second
chances – I’d say yes but I had to look real hard to see that one. Part of that is because of what I felt about
Kade.
This was the first book that I’ve read of Ms. Burgoa and it’s quite
an introduction. She packs a lot of
emotion between the covers. There were
times that I wasn’t sure if I would need a tissue or not. One thing that didn’t change was hoping that
Sadie would get what she wanted and to just be happy. Our story had plenty of ups and down – at
times it was hard to see but there’s a sense of family, both good and bad.
In reading the author’s Dear
Reader she mentions a previous title.
In doing a search it’s revealed that a character in this book has a story
of her own. Further research reveals
that the book happens to be available in audio.
Now my decision needs to be whether to read or listen to Until I Fall.
