My Thoughts:
Back in September, I read the book version of Keeper and at that time I said that I couldn’t wait to hear the
audio version. Well my wish came true
and it was well worth the wait. One
thing that made my experience a happy one was our voice actors Charlotte Cole
and Will M. Watt. They both do a great
job in bringing this author’s characters to life. You almost feel as if you are a part of the
story.
What I love about this
series is that I get to laugh. And yes that includes laughing out loud. Booker has a friend come to stay with him but
at the time he makes the suggestion he doesn’t realize how much said friend has changed. Poppy is very unique and I found that the
audio version of the book does a better job in showing how unique she really
is. Tension develops between the two
friends and with the audio version that tension is felt more than when you see
it on the page.
Ms. Daws has written a
story where I now want to see what the Harris
Brothers love so much. We do get
some games here in the states and there’s always the Internet so it’s time to put another spin
on the life these brothers follow. It
just may add a little extra to my experience the next time I turn my iPod on
and put my ear buds in.
Now that I have this book
under my belt, I can’t wait to have a Harris Brothers marathon.
With the leaves falling at a rapid pace, I need something to help me not
think of all the aches and pains that come from yard work. My problem came when I would use it to make
my travel to work more enjoyable. My
boss would come in the office, as I was listening to a really good part, and
then I would have to shut it down when I didn’t really want to. Made me look forward to going home when I
could listen to our voice actors bring Poppy and Booker to life once more. I can’t wait to see where these three people; Ms.
Daws, Ms. Cole, and Mr. Watt, will take me next. The only thing is that I hope is that it won’t be too long. But then again I can always choose something
else of theirs if I need a fix.
