Harper Conner just wants to be left alone, but after slapping her cheating senator ex-husband during a televised press conference, she's a hot commodity. The ultra exclusive resort in Wyoming seems like the ideal place to hide-and work-so there's no way she's letting the Type-A jerk who runs the place fire her.
Despite the animosity sparking between them, Dodge and Harper can't keep their hands to themselves. This thing between them can't happen. It won't. But his mother has other ideas...and she's willing to do whatever it takes to make sure Harper and Dodge fall in love.

My Thoughts:
Dodge Loving runs a place where I wish I could be right now. Harper Conner has a job that I would love to
have. What a great way to grab a
reader’s attention. Then you add in a
woman named May that just so happens to be a scene-stealer, I just have to say
I found myself wanting to know about her.
I would love to have someone like her in my life.
Dodge and Harper have an interesting first meeting that for me
sealed the deal – I wasn’t going anywhere until I read the last word of this
book. Almost from the beginning you can
feel the tension that the author has created between these two. At times he acts like he has something
permanently stuck up his butt and Harper’s not going to be pushed around. She also has a great late night food of
choice.
I grew up in a time period where certain lines didn’t get crossed
and if they did there were consequences.
And I am thankful that my parents never brought us up that way. It’s nice to see that those times are gone
and they are also showing up in my favorite genre. We have to stop looking at what people look
like on the outside and realize that it’s what’s on the inside that counts. It doesn’t hurt if it’s wrapped up in a nice
package but we have to stop worrying about the color of someone’s skin. And it shouldn’t stop you from reading a
great book.
I’ve read other books by this author and she hasn’t disappointed
me yet. She has a way of capturing her
reader’s attention. This is a time of
year where a lot of kids are starting to go back to school and our time is at a
premium. You’ll find that you will have
no problem fitting this book into your schedule. It’s also a book that I would read again –
especially once I’ve finished the complete series.
About Avery Flynn
Avery Flynn has three slightly-wild children, loves a hockey-addicted husband and is desperately hoping someone invents the coffee IV drip. Avery was a reader before she was a writer and hopes to always be both. She loves to write about smartass alpha heroes who are as good with a quip as they are with their *ahem* other God-given talents. Her heroines are feisty, fierce and fantastic. Brainy and brave, these ladies know how to stand on their own two feet and knock the bad guys off theirs.
