struggles to understand what happened to the girl he knew. Until, one night
while walking on the beach, he stumbles upon a woman who is broken and lost.

Disheartened
about not being able to find “Mr. Right” on the London dating scene, best
friends Jodie Lynch and Louise Hewson create a blog to not only document their
disastrous dates with the numerous “Mr. Wrongs” and “Mr. Okay-for-nows” but
also to help those going through the same experiences and to see where they’re
going wrong. How will they deal with everything the dating scene has to throw
at them —
planned or otherwise?
Sugar & Spice
Lacey
Harrison has been dealt an unexpected hand in life: being a single mom. With
her father's help and that of the residents at Royal Hills Nursing Home, she
thrives and goes on to become a successful baker. She is content with her life
but knows that she and her daughter Candy are missing something. Will things
change for the better when Trent Childress moves into town and adds some spice
to her sugar?
The Roommates
Spring
break changes everything for Daphne Hobbs. A one-night stand leaves her
pregnant and alone. She soon discovers that the father is an identical twin,
and she's unsure of which one turned her world upside down. She’ll be forced to
share her apartment with them until she can discover the truth. Julius and
Jordan Sweet share everything in their lives — almost to the point of living
one life. Will Daphne uncover who’s the daddy?

My Thoughts:
Rating: 4 1/2 stars
Broken Roads & Dusty Dreams by Lisa
Bilbrey
Riley Farris met
Natalie Sloane when they were young.
Even at such a young age, he knows how to treat a girl. They are also great friends. Then we see them again as adults trying to
rekindle that friendship.
This was a great
way to start off this collection of stories.
Lisa reminds her readers that not everyone has a happy time leading up
to the holidays. But friends can help
change that - friends can be of the opposite sex. Affection for a friend can also change into
something more.
Right Click, Love by M.B. Feeney
Jodie Lynch and
Louise Hewson are best friends that write a blog together. They give their thoughts on the dating
scene. It’s interesting how two women come to rely on
each other but also respect what the other has to say. They also show how hard it is to find someone
in this day and age. It takes a lot of
work to find that special someone who is willing to share your life. Plus they share their struggles with anyone
out on the internet. I don’t know if I
could be that bold.
Sugar & Spice by R. E. Hargrave
Lacey Harrison
owns her own bakery. She’s at the store
buying supplies when she bumps into Trent Childress. Lacey also has a very intelligent daughter
named Candace.
What I loved
about R.E.’s story was that she shows the story from the perspective of both
characters. We also get to see how their
relationship blossoms from month to month.
You don’t even realize that this is a short story. This was one story that if I didn’t have a
gluten allergy it would have had me pigging out at my favorite Italian Bakery.
The Roommates by Michele Richard
Daphne Hobbs is
told that she is pregnant. Brothers
Julius and Jordan Sweet are looking for an apartment. What a way to start of this last story in
this latest book of the Candy Collection.
It was very sweet – although one brother doesn’t live up to that last
name.
This book acts
like a teaser. You get a taste of the
writing style of four authors. They are
all authors that I cannot wait to read more of their work. The title makes you think of the holidays but
it is a book that can be read at any time of the year. What’s great about an anthology is that you
can read the book all at once or read one author at a time. Around the holidays, time can be a very precious
thing. Sometimes we need just a little
something to help us relax after a very taxing day. This book will help you do that. Sit in your favorite chair, with your
favorite blanket, your drink of choice, with your animal (if you have one),
near a fireplace (again, if you have one) and just let this book take you away
from the day.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book for
review from Jitterbug PR and from the author as part of a virtual book
tour. I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The
opinions I have expressed are my own. I am posting this in accordance with the
Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of
