My Thoughts:
Lyle knows what it’s like to help people. Valentine knows she’s somewhere safe. She has a mystery surrounding her. If you start the series here, I think you’ll find it best to read the Underground Crows MC series in order. You might wonder how these two are going to make it as a couple, but the author shows anything is possible. That includes overcoming obstacles to find something you weren’t expecting.
There’s an age gap but the way the story is written, you don’t really notice. This is another book that’s sweet with lots of heat. It was easy to get lost in the story and then get the shock that it’s now over. The good news is I have around a month to wait for the next book in the series to come out.

My Thoughts:
Bruno needs restitution. Scarlett is trying to make the best out of a bad situation. How can this make for a good read? Our author found a way. This is sweet with lots of heat. What starts out as revenge ends up mending a misunderstanding. And love was not on Bruno’s radar.
This is a novella that shortly after you sit down to read, you find that it’s over. I already had book two of this MC series, so it wasn’t a tough decision to see what that book was all about. It was a surprise that with as many books as this author has written, Bruno and Scarlett’s story was my first. If you’re a lover of the MC trope, this may be a good addition to your library.
