My Thoughts:

The author’s note to her readers gives us a little information about our main characters as well as her Love In Bloom series.

Dash wants to enjoy some downtime. Amber is a woman that just may need a little coaxing. Their story caught me by surprise. I thought our author’s last book was my favorite but that was before I read this one. So for now I’ll say it’s a tie.

I couldn’t help smiling through most of this book. They were cute and Dash reminded me of the men who would go out of their way to court the young lady they were interested in. Amber might have what can be considered a disability. Hers is one that has made her shy away from some people. Our author shows that there are people who can look past it. Everyone should have a chance at happiness.

Our author does such a good job in not making the disability the focal point of her story. What Dash and Amber start to develop was sweet as well as very hot. It was sweet to watch Dash go after the girl. She also brings up a musical that came out about four years ago. I have never watched the movie – I’m more a fan of the old-time musicals – but just may give it a try after seeing the joy it brought Amber.

This is another story where the author has a way of making the reader feel as if the characters could be either friends or family. It becomes easy to attach yourselves to the people she creates and want them to have the lives they are wishing for. I had to laugh when I saw how she inserted an actual group into her storyline. If you are already a fan of Ms. Fosters then you should recognize it when you see it.

There are plenty of scenes that will get you to laugh. I’m not sure I would classify it as a beach read but it is one that you may want to read more than once. I can certainly picture sitting in a nice comfortable chair by the fireplace or maybe in a bookstore. It’s a story with a small town feel so on a beautiful day why not sit in the town square to give you some ambiance. If it’s a rainy day, and family is home, why not just sit in the coziest chair in your living room and spend the day reading. Dash is into sports but I don’t feel that being around a football game would lend anything to your reading pleasure. Plus I think it would disrupt their romantic ending.
