My Thoughts:

Rhett starts us off with heart pounding suspense. That scene also shows not to start the series here. Sadie knows she’s not in a good place right now. This is more like an ensemble cast instead of having two main characters and a host of secondary characters. Part of that is due to the fact that there are several points of view here.

This story has a lot going on but nothing gets confusing. There’s a lot of strong language, physicality and plenty of heat. You will never have to wonder what is going on because the characters will keep you well informed. Having read the first book, you know what to expect. In this book, the author kicks things up a notch.

If you like clean and wholesome reads than this would not be a book for you. There’s nothing clean about the MC world and Sadie and her “friends” are far from wholesome. They all know what they want and at the point where relationship decisions need to be made. We have people that will tell it like it is, no sugar-coating anything, and there will be no mistaking what that is. And that continues right to the very end. Even if we’re left in suspense until the next book comes out.
