Grave has a job to do and isn’t afraid to follow through on it. For such a tough guy he has a heart and it shows when he does an honorable thing. He’s found a lady that fits into his life perfectly. They really compliment each other. The author shows us as the scenes progress how that is.
This story is told from Grave’s point of view. When I first realized that, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it. Then I finally came to realize that it’s his story to tell. But there were still times where I wanted Silla’s take on things. I’m meant to feel his frustration, his anger, and something that grows throughout the story – love.
It was a great way to get hooked on this newest series. It’s just a small taste of what this group is about. At the end, the author lets it slip as to whose story is coming next. Once I saw who it was, I knew that I had to make sure to put it on my calendar – don't want to forget.

I take a deep breath before standing and glancing around. It feels like everything moves in slow motion. The bullets fly but I can’t hear a damn thing. One bullet rips through my side as I spin around to fire at whoever it was that shot me. Our eyes lock and just as I’m about to pull the trigger, he fires first. Each bullet hits me, knocking the air from my lungs. Pain radiates through my body as I slowly fall to the floor. The last person I see…is him.
