My Thoughts:

Lily Devenmore has a way with children. She does with adults too but there’s one who she loves to push his buttons. Evan O’Brien believes in obeying the rules. He was my surprise in this story.

Lily is a woman who some can relate to. She’s not someone you can compare to a model. She’s just an average woman who may share some thoughts that you may have. Some women just think that they’re not going to find the type of love that you can find within a book. Evan is not your average man but not one that can be related to.

Our author is very good at blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. Everything she wrote seems possible. Some of the facts are based on what could actually happen but the other part shows that you just might not know everything about someone. We only know what a person is willing to share. No two people are going to look at this the same way. Some may look at the positive things our characters bring to this story. Some my pick up on the negative. I tend to always look for the silver lining.

This is a book based on a world started by another author. In order to enjoy this story, you do not need to have any experience with that world. This stands on its own merits. If you’ve not read any of this author’s other work than this is a great introduction. You may also want to see what the other authors have written as a contribution to a new series.
